Ambrosia Winery at Wine Paris & Vinexpo: Bringing Georgian Wine to the World Stage

Participating in one of the most prestigious wine fairs in the world was a milestone we had been working toward for a long time. When we arrived in Paris for Wine Paris & Vinexpo, we knew this was more than just an exhibition — it was a statement. Ambrosia Winery was ready to take Georgian wine to the international stage, and Paris was the perfect place to do it.

A Dream Stage for Georgian Wine

Wine Paris & Vinexpo is not just any wine fair. It is where the world’s most discerning buyers, importers, and sommeliers come to discover what is next in wine. Being present among producers from France, Italy, Spain, and beyond — and holding our own — filled us with immense pride. For us, it was proof that Georgian wine belongs in that conversation.

We came with our full range: our qvevri-aged whites, our Saperavi, and our Bolnisi blends. Every pour was an opportunity to tell the story of Georgia — 8,000 years of winemaking, ancient grape varieties, and a living tradition that the rest of the world is only beginning to discover.

Connections That Open Doors

The fair brought us face to face with importers, distributors, and wine professionals from across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. These were not casual encounters — they were the kind of meaningful conversations that lead to real partnerships. We spoke with buyers who had never tasted a Georgian wine before and watched their expressions change with the first sip.

There is something powerful about introducing someone to a wine tradition they did not know existed. The curiosity was genuine, the questions were deep, and the enthusiasm was overwhelming. By the end of the fair, we had built a network of contacts that we are now actively working to develop into long-term trade relationships.

Challenges and the Road Ahead

International events of this scale are not without their complexity. Logistics, shipping, regulations getting Georgian wine to a booth in Paris requires months of planning. But the results speak for themselves. The level of interest we encountered confirmed that the effort is absolutely worth it, and that there is a growing appetite globally for authentic, terroir-driven wines from unexpected regions.

We are now following up on every contact we made, exploring partnerships in new markets, and already planning our next international appearances.
